Floor Preparation

To ensure the best result from your new floors, a correctly prepared substrate is as important as specifying the right floor system.

Totally enclosed shot basting can clean and key a large area quickly, however our preferred method of preparation is generally diamond grinding.

Deccon Ltd have a large fleet of new 4 headed HTC grinders, using the latest diamond technology and full dust control we prepare a slab by removing weaknesses in the surface getting into the matrix of the concrete almost eliminating concrete failure. Diamond grinding will increase the life of any finish.

Large areas of removal of carpets or vinyl, coatings or screeds are easily removed using our ride on floor stripping machines.

When an effective DPM (Damp Proof Membrane) is not in place, as part of our floor preparation, we would supply and apply Deckmaster DPM at the most competetive rates in the market.

Oil contamination can be removed using hot compressed air treatments ensuring that whatever system is applied, post preparation has the very best opportunity to perform to its potential.
